Studio Policies and Guidelines
- Regular Attendance is mandatory in this studio.
- Payment is due on the first day of every month. A late fee of $25 will be assessed after the fifth of the month. Forms of payment accepted are cash and check only, no credits cards. Please make checks out to Nicole Routman or Violin Artistry.
- All cancellations require 24-hour advance notice. If such notice is given, the lesson will be rescheduled when time permits. Consistent student cancellations, no-shows and tardiness may result in the loss of the lesson time and/or dismissal from the studio. Exceptions to this policy will be made in case of emergency or illness.
- Lessons cancelled by the teacher for any reason will either be made up at a mutually convenient time, or a credit be given on the next month's tuition.
- Parents of younger children are required to attend all lessons and take notes. The child cannot learn and will not practice at home if the parent does not play an active role in the child's music education. The violin is not easy and I do not wish to repeat myself with parents.
- Fingernails must be short in order to play the violin. Please keep a set of nail clippers handy. There will be no lesson if nails are not short by the start of the lesson.
